Honolulu HNL car rental rules: age, debit, deposit and pickup

Honolulu’s consolidated rental facility is across from Terminal 2. Some Terminal 2 passengers can walk; other arrival areas have designated rental-car shuttle stops.

1. From Terminal 2 Baggage Claims 19–31, walk to the facility entrances across from Baggage Claims 26 and 31.
2. From Terminal 1, Terminal 2 international arrivals or Baggage Claims 16–18, or Terminal 3, follow signs to the designated rental-car shuttle pickup.
3. At the facility, go to Level 2 for the on-airport rental-company counters; check your provider’s hours before a late arrival.

Match the branch on your reservation to this airport service. Pickup counter hours, vehicle-return hours and after-hours collection are separate conditions.

In Daniel K. Inouye International Airport's own words (quoted verbatim from the airport's rental-car page; your rental company's return instructions on the reservation still apply):

• “Departing Passengers (CONRAC to Terminal) Ground Floor – Near Central Elevator”

• “Shuttle bus service is provided during the daily operational hours of the facility, from 0400-Midnight.”
