A checkout can accept a wallet or virtual card for prepayment while the branch still asks the main driver to present a physical qualifying card for identity, authorization and deposit purposes.
Describe the card precisely
Before asking whether a card works, identify all of the properties the rule may use.
- Credit, debit or prepaid funding type.
- Physical card, virtual number or mobile wallet only.
- Network and whether the card carries the main renter's name.
- Available credit or account funds for the complete authorization.
Use written exact-branch confirmation for exceptions
If a supplier offers a digital-checkout product, confirm whether it applies to your country, location, rate, payment method and vehicle. A general wallet feature should not be treated as proof that a virtual card qualifies at every counter.
