Each row is the value the company has at most of the airports where we hold a reviewed, current value; airports with a different reviewed value are listed under the table. A “Not stated” cell means the source does not say, not that the answer is no.

Avis: Conditional · same at ATL, DFW, EWR, FLL, LAS, LAX, MCO, MIA, SFO
- Debit with a return ticket: Debit pickup is limited to Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, Full-Size and Standard SUV groups; the broad SUV choice does not confirm the booked group. The exact branch requires an accepted debit-card processing logo, the renter's name and a return airline ticket coinciding with the rental. A credit-worthiness check applies; an Equifax freeze must be lifted, and this does not guarantee approval. With a non-U.S. licence, present the licence plus a passport or a Canadian enhanced licence. With a Mexico-issued licence, a valid travel visa may replace the passport as secondary ID. NEXUS does not replace these documents. This branch identity rule is separate from the previously reviewed country IDP/translation rule. Published hold amounts are discretionary guidance; the selected reservation and counter authorization control.
- Debit without a return ticket: The published airport debit route requires a return airline ticket coinciding with the rental. Budget: Conditional · same at ATL
- Debit with a return ticket: Bring a physical bank-issued Visa or Mastercard debit card embossed in the renter's name; prepaid, loadable, and payroll cards do not qualify. Bring the required address-matching document; a non-Metro Atlanta renter may use a qualifying return-air confirmation instead. Purchase LDW, leave the published $1,500 damage deposit, or present transferable comprehensive and collision insurance for verification. Qualifying address documents must match the licence; a second document is required if they do not. Metro Atlanta residents need a listed document dated within 45 days with no overdue/negative account; nonlocal renters may use return-air confirmation instead. Budget Atlanta's locally operated franchise requires a major credit card and a valid passport with any non-U.S. licence. An IDP is only a translation alongside the original licence; it cannot replace it.
- Debit without a return ticket: Bring a physical bank-issued Visa or Mastercard debit card embossed in the renter's name; prepaid, loadable, and payroll cards do not qualify. Metro Atlanta residents need the published current address-matching document; other debit renters may use qualifying return-air confirmation instead. Purchase LDW, leave the published $1,500 damage deposit, or present transferable comprehensive and collision insurance for verification. SIXT: Conditional · same at JFK
- Debit with a return ticket: Formal SIXT U.S. terms accept eligible debit at all airport locations. Present a qualifying physical chip card in the main driver's name. The travel ticket must be booked at least 24 hours before pickup, in the renter's name and matching the rental return date. This refers to ticket booking, not rental booking. Formal terms separately describe international renters presenting a debit card issued in their country of origin; its class restrictions still apply. Excluded ACRISS groups and Sports & Luxury vehicles require a credit card; a broad category does not verify the booked vehicle code.
- Debit without a return ticket: The ordinary airport debit route requires a matching return ticket booked at least 24 hours before pickup. The formal terms separately allow international renters to present a debit card issued in their country of origin, with vehicle restrictions. These inputs do not establish card-issuance eligibility; obtain branch confirmation before relying on that exception.

National: Conditional · same at ATL, BOS, DEN, DFW, FLL, LAS, LAX, MCO, MIA, PHX, SAN, SEA, SFO
- Debit with a return ticket: Present a ticketed return travel itinerary and a debit card with Visa, Mastercard or Discover logo. Only a qualifying spouse or domestic partner can be added to a debit rental. For the normal airport debit route, the licence name/address must match the current home address; active-duty military personnel are exempt from the address requirement.
- Debit without a return ticket: A ticketed return itinerary is required for the reviewed airport debit qualification.

How this page is built
Values come only from reviewed company policy pages and terms. A value past its review date, marked Unknown or in Conflict is not counted. The page is published only while at least four companies have a reviewed, current value. The exact rule at your pickup branch can differ: open the airport page or check your trip before you book.

Optional: Discover Cars Full Coverage
When you book through Discover Cars you can add its optional Full Coverage. It is Discover Cars’ own product, not the rental company’s waiver. In Discover Cars’ words:
- What it is: “It’s a reimbursement policy that refunds you for the deductible (excess) and eligible costs you might pay the rental company if your car is damaged, stolen, or affected by other covered incidents during your trip.” “This creates an agreement directly between you and DiscoverCars.com, completely separate from the rental supplier.”
- The rental desk still takes a deposit: “Full Coverage does not remove or reduce the supplier's security deposit requirements.” “Since the rental supplier cannot see our coverage in their system, you’ll still need to leave a standard security deposit at the rental desk using a credit card in the main driver's name.”
- You pay first, then claim: “If you're charged for damage covered by Full Coverage, you'll first need to pay the supplier and then submit a claim for reimbursement.” “file a claim within 90 days of dropping off the car.”
- Limit: “our Full Coverage reimburses the deductible you paid—up to the compensation limit listed on your voucher (maximum coverage limit is €5,000).”
- Not covered: “Full Coverage does not cover damages to third parties.” “Damage to the car’s interior and any special cleaning fees (for example, due to sand, mud, or pet hair) are not covered, unless they result directly from a vehicle collision.”
- If the rental contract is breached: “If the rental contract is breached (for example, drunk driving, off-road driving, or other forms of gross negligence), the supplier’s CDW coverage becomes void. In such cases, you may be held fully liable for the total value of the vehicle, and Full Coverage will not provide reimbursement.”
