Fort Lauderdale Avis Preferred may still require a desk visit
Avis lists 600 Terminal Drive, third floor. From Terminal 1 use the Level 2 pedestrian bridge; from Terminals 2–4 take the rental-center shuttle outside baggage claim. A Preferred display reading CTR, or a missing name, directs the customer to the desk immediately right of the display board instead of straight to a vehicle.
Return follows Car Rental Returns signs. The branch publishes 24-hour operation but also includes generic instructions for an office closure, locking the vehicle and using a return-area key drop. That contingency wording does not prove a scheduled nightly closure. Confirm any unexpected closed-office arrangement rather than treating Preferred membership as a promise that all desk checks disappear.
