Enterprise MCO: Additional Drivers With a Debit Card
At Enterprise MCO, a debit-secured rental limits additional drivers to a qualifying spouse or domestic partner. Fees and pickup checks are separate.

What this guide helps you decide
Using a debit card at Enterprise Orlando International Airport? Its published rule permits only the renter’s spouse or domestic partner as an additional driver. They must still qualify. Paying an extra-driver fee does not open this debit route to a friend. This guide covers branch 07V1, checked October 18, 2026.
First check who can drive; then check the fee
Enterprise’s U.S. additional-driver FAQ separates three questions: whether someone may drive, whether they meet the age and license requirements, and whether an additional-driver charge applies. A qualifying spouse or domestic partner has no additional-driver charge. Other qualifying drivers normally cost US$15 per day unless contractual conditions change the fee.
A fee waiver is not an exception to the debit-card restriction. Keep a corporate-rate discount or membership benefit separate from the permitted-driver question. If a special agreement is involved, ask the branch to identify the terms that apply to that reservation.

The exact MCO branch and its remaining checks
This is Enterprise at 1 Jeff Fuqua Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32827, location 07V1. Its standard published minimum is 21 for renters and additional drivers. Airport debit pickup also requires a ticketed return itinerary and the stated address checks; the active-duty military address exception is separate. The main renter needs a qualifying card in their own name.
The branch’s US$400/US$850 deposit paragraph concerns renters without a ticketed return itinerary. Do not copy those amounts into a return-ticket debit budget. Ask for the authorization amount for your actual card, vehicle and rate.
Worked examples: do not confuse one passed check with approval
These are synthetic planning examples, not customer experiences or rental approvals. Assume the published standard terms above; any unverified detail stays open.
| Example | What the example establishes | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Spouse, age 30; renter proposes debit | Relationship fits the stated category. | Check documents, itinerary, vehicle and the reservation. |
| Friend, age 32; renter offers to pay a driver fee | Payment does not change the relationship restriction. | Discuss a different qualifying rental arrangement before booking. |
| Spouse, age 20 | Relationship alone cannot satisfy the standard minimum. | Do not plan on driving under these standard terms. |
| Partner; domestic-partner status unclear | The required relationship has not been established. | Ask the branch what qualifies and what confirmation it requires. |
Changing the payment method requires a fresh check of the booking; it is not an approval shortcut.
Arrange the driver with Enterprise before they take the wheel
The U.S. FAQ directs additional drivers to appear with the renter and show a valid license. It also says a driver can be added at a rental location during the rental, with both people present. Do not assume a phone call alone has amended the contract. For a spouse or domestic partner, confirm how the branch documents their authorization for your booking.
Authorization to drive and insurance coverage are different questions. Check the rental agreement and any insurance terms separately; this guide does not determine coverage.
An additional driver cannot lend the main renter a payment card
Enterprise’s paying-for-another-person FAQ says the renter must be present, sign the agreement and provide their own card. A friend’s or spouse’s card is not made acceptable for that renter simply by adding the cardholder as another driver.
Before changing who rents, confirm that the proposed main renter qualifies and understands the agreement. A reservation edit should not be treated as approval of a different driver or card.
A short message to send the branch
I am collecting at Enterprise MCO, location 07V1, on [dates]. I plan to secure the rental with my own [card type]. I would like my [relationship] to drive too. Their age is [age] and their license is from [country/state]. Please confirm whether this arrangement is permitted, what both of us must bring, how the driver is authorized, any separate charges, and the funds required for my booking.
Use the official contact details in your confirmation. Keep the reply with the booking. Do not send card numbers, security codes or license photographs in a public comment. If the answer conflicts with the published terms, ask the branch to resolve that conflict before paying.
Pickup checklist
- 1Match the branch identifier and exact pickup address.
- 2Check the additional driver’s relationship, age and license separately.
- 3Confirm the main renter, cardholder and return itinerary.
- 4Ask about all applicable charges and the actual authorization amount.
- 5Confirm the counter procedure and retain the branch’s answer.
Questions renters ask
Does a free additional driver mean no other charges?
No. A waived additional-driver charge does not settle the rental price, age-related charges, optional products or funds required at pickup. Ask for an itemized booking-specific answer.
Does a checker result approve my additional driver?
Do not treat a main-renter trip result as confirmation of another driver. Use this separate checklist and obtain the branch’s answer for that person.
Can I apply this to another Enterprise airport?
Check that location’s current terms. This guide’s branch-specific findings concern Orlando International Airport 07V1, not every Enterprise or Orlando-area location.
